SNAKE

Objective:

Be the first player to play all of your cards.

How to play:

1. Three cards are dealt face-down to all players, arranged in a 1×3 line without any player looking.

2. Following this, 10 cards are dealt to each player. These cards can be looked at and managed, but should be kept secret.

3. Each player places 3 cards face-up on top of the 3 facedown cards (usually the player’s best cards). These cards are frozen until all cards in the player’s hand are played.

3a. The first player to put their 3 cards down goes first.

4. Going counter-clockwise, each player plays at least one card in ascending order (unless a “special power” card is played) or equal to the most recently played card in the discard pile.

4a. If a player is unable to play a higher card, the equivalent, or a special card that can be played at any turn, the player must pick up the discard pile and put it into their hand, and the player that played the high card gets to go again.

4b. If all four suits of the card are played on top of each other in the discard pile, the discard pile is “blown up” and removed from play, and the player that played the last card gets to play again.

4c. Multiples of the same card can be played in one turn.

4d. With the remaining deck, after a player plays a card, they must pick up a card if they have less than 7 cards. Once the remaining deck is depleted, drawing ceases.

5. Once a player plays all the cards in their hand, they can begin playing their face-up cards (you are able to play multiple here too).

6. Once the player has played all face-up cards, on their turn, they randomly choose 1 of their 3 cards to play when it is their turn. It should be a dramatic reveal!

7. Once a player has successfully played all their facedown cards and cards in their hand, they win.

The “Power of the Card”

Not all cards have powers and some powers can be played any time while others can only be played in order.

Can be played anytime

2 - Resets the deck. (I play a 2 on top of a Queen. The next player can now play any number.)

6 - Acts as an invisible card. (I play a 6 on top of a Queen. The next player must now play a Queen or higher.)

10 - “Blows up” the discard pile, and allows the user to play again. (I play a 10 on top of a Queen. The discard pile is moved off the table, and I get to play any card.)

Joker - The highest card in the deck. (Ace is the second highest.)

Must be played in order

7 - Forces the next player to play a 7 or lower. (I play a 7 on a 5. The next player must play a 7 or below.)

8 - Skips the next player (unless they play an 8, in which it skips the following player).
